THE SWU-MHAMCM HERITAGE OF EXCELLENCE
As the first medical school outside of Manila, the Southwestern University - Matias H. Aznar Memorial College of Medicine (SWU-MHAMCM) is reasserting its place in the history of our country's medical education.
At the SWU-MHAMCM, education is moving forward, attuned to the best practices of the medical profession and at par with the best medical schools in the country and in the Asian region.
This school year 2007-2008, physical plant and facilities are up for improvements. Innovations in instruction and faculty development shall be the focus for next year.
The SWU-MHAMCM is fortunate to have its own web site. Through the net, we can communicate with the alumni and bring to them the latest goings-on in the campus. At present, the Medical Information Technology Center is being developed to serve as the repository of researches, instructional materials, modules and other materials.
In response to the call for quality medical education, the SWU-MHAMCM is continuously seeking local and international accreditation in medical education. Next year, we may witness the SWU-MHAMCM joining the Asian Medical Education Association (AMEA), and ultimately be listed in the international directory of medical schools under the auspices of the World Health Organization/ World Federation of Medical Education (WHO/WFME).
The interest toward medical education is growing and SWU-MHAMCM opens its doors to all students – both locally and from foreign lands.
